Dear Carlson Family and Scholarship donors,

In all sincerity, your contribution to my life has touched my heart and made me conscious of my treasures. God has a way of blessing our lives when we least expect it. These blessings are the reminders that exhibit the richness of life.

As we go through life day to day, we lose sight of the love and compassion we as individuals possess in relation to one another. What we fail to realize is that fortune lies within the hearts of others. We are fortunate because there are giving and caring individuals whose inner goodness radiates from their beings and enriches our lives. The goodness all of you possess has truly enriched my life. I am fortunate because all of you found it in your hearts to bless me with such a generous gift.

The hard work and dedication that all of you put into helping young individuals like myself is amazing. The memory and legacy of the beloved Darril Carlson will transcend through time because his lasting values will be the catalysts that drive others to make a difference. I am a firm believer in things happening for a reason. With this gift, I will fulfill my duty of obtaining a substantial education which will enable me to make a difference in the lives of others, because it was meant to be. With the utmost humility and gratitude, I thank each and every one of you so much for your contribution to my future. I am truly appreciative.
